A WRF Project focused on directly addressing the severe Gender-Based Violence (GBV) crisis devastating women and girls in Ganze-Kilifi County, by intensifying community dialogues and awareness campaigns involving elders, religious leaders (from diverse faiths), parents, and youth to challenge norms perpetuating child marriage and Survivor Support, by enhancing DYI's capacity to offer immediate, safe, and empathetic initial support to GBV survivors, including basic psychosocial first aid and robust referrals for comprehensive care, addressing current gaps in timely assistance; and Economic Resilience, by expanding our initiatives to provide viable economic skills and opportunities for women at high risk of or surviving GBV, thereby tackling economic dependence as a key driver of violence, and empowering women and girls economically to reduce vulnerability to exploitation.
